week 31

Down to the single digits. Only 9 more weeks to go. We are getting a little anxious, at least mommy is. All these questions are going through my head. Will I be a good mom? How will I know what to do? Will Jack be healthy? Am I going to make it through labor. I think the scariest part is just not knowing. My OCD and control issues don't really help.

On another note, we took our last road trip this week for a while. Daddy and I went to Atlanta on Saturday to stay with Josh, Megan, MacKenize. Chris, Jess, and Logan came over Saturday and we all went to the neighborhood egg hunt then went for a hike. Scott carried MacKenzie back in the baby Bjorn...very cute. Josh cooked hamburgers and Hot dogs, and we just had a relaxing day. It was great. It 's hard to believe that Jack will be here soon and there will be three of them. Sunday was the big baptism and it went perfect. Logan slept through it all and Kenzie did great. It was very special and emotional. We love those sweet babies!!!!!

Montgomery Baby Shower

What a wonderful day. Today I had my first baby shower and it was amazing. It was given by Teresa, Wendy, Amanda Mathews, Mrs. Linda, Mrs. Brenda, and Mrs. Kathy. They did way too much. The decorations were adorable. Not only are my friends precious, they are very talented. They did everything by hand including the flowers, the diaper cake, and food. I love them all very much and will never forget this day. I could not believe the people that came. I think we probably had about 25-30 in all, but there were so many people that couldn't come and still sent gifts. Most of the people are friends I have made from work both past and present. One of my best friends, Calley, drove in from Atlanta and even brought Daddy a present so he wouldn't feel left out. It was a Lynyrd Skynyrd onesie and a signed Braves baseball. How sweet was that. My aunt Carroll, Mrs. Shelia, and Mrs Vicki (who came all the way from Nashville)were all there to help us celebrate. I think Nonna had just as much fun as I did. She may be a little excited about being a Grandma, I think she was glowing too. Jack was literally showered with gifts. I can't believe all the things he received. He got his swing, a bouncey, an exercise jumpey, the womb sound lambs, some beautiful quilts and blankets, several rubbies, burp clothes, picture books, and so MANY of the cutest clothes I have ever seen. He even got his first hunting outfit and his very first Christmas ornament. I have never felt so special and so loved. God has truly blessed us with wonderful friends and it was unbelievable to feel the love and excitement from everyone else for Jack. Thank you everyone for such a special day.

week 30

I went to the doctor on Tuesday and everything is still good. I am up to 22lbs, so I am not sure how much longer I will be reporting this data. My feet and legs are starting to swell but that is normal. I have had heartburn for the first time in my life this week. Maybe Jack is growing hair? (This old tale is actually medically true)
My first baby shower is Saturday and I am so excited. I can't wait to see all my friends and co-workers. My mom was so sweet and wanted me to feel extra special on Saturday. So she took me to Birmingham and bought me the cutest outfit. While we were there I finished up getting some things for some of the decor for the nursery. She made the cutest liners for the baskets under the changing table. I am still working on a few things but will post updated picks of the nursery Saturday after Daddy finishes hanging a few more things. Gifts have started arriving in the mail. Its like Xmas. My Aunt Mary, Sandy, and Cindy sent us the activity mat, car mirror, and some diaper rash cream. How sweet. One of the doctors and his wife gave us the mobile that we had registered for at one of the local baby boutique and my sister-n-law, Ginger, sent us a baby blanket that she made which I love. Thank you to everyone.

Does 10 weeks make a Difference?

DO I LOOK ANY DIFFERENT?
WEEK 29

WEEK 19

week 29

This week we had Baby Boot Camp. This is an all day Saturday class that includes a tour of the hospital. The best part was that on our lunch break we went and got our chair for the nursery. I love this chair. Anyways, Back to the class..... It was nice for Scott and I to tour the hospital and spend the time together. they provided us with a lot of good information. However, they showed so many vaginal births from start to finish that I almost got sick and I work in medical and don't have a weak stomach. then it was on to a C-section. No wonder a woman's body never recovers from this. Good grief. This scared the mess out of me. Option 1=vaginal birth Option 2= C-section. WHAT IS OPTION 3? Anybody?
